Senior Legal Counsel - Crypto / DeFi

We’re hiring a Senior Legal Counsel who will report to the COO to manage legal, regulatory, and operational activities across the firm. This is a senior, cross-functional hands on role supporting fund regulation, compliance, commercial structuring, and strategic execution across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll work closely with leadership, team members and external partners to ensure Re7 operates with institutional-grade precision as we continue to expand globally.

Responsibilities: Legal & Compliance

• Manage regulatory licensing and cross-jurisdictional legal structures.
• Support corporate and commercial deal structuring and negotiation.
• Firm-wide compliance oversight
• Advise on legal and regulatory aspects of existing and new products.
• Handle legal entity governance, new structures, IP protection, and data privacy compliance.
• Manage other contentious and non-contentious legal matters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal and operations experience within crypto, asset management or financial services
• Appreciation of digital assets and crypto-native legal frameworks
• Qualified lawyer or equivalent experience in a senior legal function
• Strong understanding of financial regulations across multiple jurisdictions (e.g. FCA, CIMA, SEC, MiCA etc)
• Proven experience managing legal entity structuring, fund governance, and cross-border operations
• Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Familiarity with offshore fund and asset management structures
• Experience working with external counsel and regulators
