NEA administers Singapore’s carbon tax regime under the Carbon Pricing Act, develops the eligibility criteria under the International Carbon Credit (ICC) Framework, and leads the compilation of Singapore’s greenhouse gas inventory. You will lead a team to drive CPD's strategic priorities in developing and implementing initiatives under the International Carbon Credit (ICC) framework, supporting cross-border CCS cooperation, and advancing emerging mitigation measures. You will manage and guide the team to:

  • Develop policies and implementation approaches for CCS and emerging mitigation measures.
  • Drive the development, review and operationalisation of Singapore's ICC Framework
  • Build organisational capability in carbon crediting methodologies, CCS and emerging mitigation measures
  • Build, maintain and influence international and regional networks to advance Singapore's interests

  • Degree in Chemical, Environmental Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience in carbon markets.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

  • Strong ability to learn on the fly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, automation and AI tools.
  • Willing to travel overseas for International/regional meetings.
  • You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
