Music Teacher

We are looking for a Music Teacher for an international bilingual school in Xiamen, teaching students from kindergarten through the Middle Years Programme (MYP). This position is available from February 2027.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach music to students from kindergarten through MYP, adapting lessons to different ages and abilities
• Plan engaging lessons that develop musical understanding, creativity, and practical performance skills
• Deliver music theory and practical instruction through singing, instrumental activities, listening, and composition
• Direct ensembles, choirs, or instrumental groups and organize school performances and concerts
• Design assessments, monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school activities
• Maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers
• Create a safe, supportive learning environment that encourages participation and musical expression

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field, with a music specialization required
• Valid teaching certification or license
• At least two years of classroom teaching experience
• International curriculum experience preferred
