We’re looking for a curious Repair Engineer

Working as a Repair Engineer

• Analyze PCBAs that fail during programming and functional testing.
• Repair PCBAs using a BGA rework station, soldering station, hot-air station and suction station, in accordance with approved procedures and schematics.
• Test repaired PCBAs using the designated test system.
• Record the type and quantity of defective circuit boards and report the findings to the Electronics Department.
• Initiate analysis of issues identified at customer sites and communicate recurring defects related to potential design issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyze recurring defects identified during production and repair defective circuit boards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues that may not have an obvious solution, using experimentation and a systematic trial-and-error approach.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and common objectives.

Professional skills we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuits, power supplies, microprocessor-based systems and ASIC circuits, with the ability to perform complex repairs.
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and component datasheets.
• Hands-on experience with soldering/ repair equipment (solder station, hot-air station, suction station).
• Good command of English.
• Previous experience in PCBA repair is an advantage.
• Take initiative – make things happen.
