We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team in Thirsk, YO7 3ER. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to become part of a busy catering operation, supporting food service delivery while helping to maintain high standards across customer and
catering areas.

What you'll be doing

• Serving food and beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Operating tills and handling customer payments accurately
• Stocking up, rotating stock, facing up items, and carrying out spot cleaning duties
• Setting up food service counters and ensuring all service areas are well presented
• Cleaning front and back-of-house areas to maintain high hygiene standards
• Supporting kitchen and service teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
• Preparing public-facing areas ready for service
• Undertaking relevant training and working towards Food Hygiene Level 2 andmHealth & Safety Level 2 qualifications
• Working closely with the General Manager and wider team to support day-to-day operations
• Customer service or food service experience is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided
• Must be aged 18 or over
• Friendly and professional approach with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for 3 years or more to satisfy security requirements.
• Due to the location of the site and limited public transport links, a reliable mode of transport is essential.
