The Posting

About the company

Our client is a technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Bring deep field-tested construction management expertise to a software team building a time-based planning feature. Act as the internal authority on how building projects are sequenced and delivered, guiding product and engineering choices.

What you'll do

  • Help shape and build a planning feature that connects 3D models to project timelines, modeled on how real builds are sequenced and delivered.
  • Inform product and engineering choices with practical general contractor experience.
  • Act as the team's go-to expert on how construction work is sequenced and carried out.
  • Review plans and drawings daily to ground the work in real project documents.
  • Partner with engineers on technical and AI aspects, with no programming needed.
  • Meet with colleagues on-site in San Francisco for roughly one week each month.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • About 8 to 12+ years in construction project management, with a record of leading projects or the managers who run them from planning through delivery.
  • Confident skill in interpreting plan sets and technical drawings.
  • A background at a general contractor, ideally one of the larger national firms.
  • A history of overseeing several large, complicated builds in the US.
  • Residence in the United States.
  • Availability to join teammates in person about one week a month.
  • Curiosity about AI and comfort with new technology.

Bonus points

  • Hands-on experience using or building AI tools is a strong plus.
  • Civil engineering or construction management education or background.
