The Posting

Communication doesn't stop when the therapy session ends.

A child expressing their needs, joining a conversation at school or finding another way to communicate — these are the everyday milestones that matter.

We're looking for a Speech Pathologist who sees communication as more than speech alone. You'll support children to build confidence, connect with others and develop skills they can use at home, at school and beyond.

If you enjoy individualised therapy, working closely with families and thinking creatively about each child's needs, this could be an opportunity worth exploring.

What you'll be doing

  • Assessing children's communication needs and developing tailored therapy plans.
  • Supporting speech, language, social communication, fluency and literacy development.
  • Exploring AAC and other communication supports where appropriate.
  • Helping families put practical strategies into everyday routines.
  • Collaborating with other allied health professionals and completing relevant clinical and NDIS documentation.

What we're looking for

  • A recognised Speech Pathology qualification and eligibility to practise in Australia.
  • An interest in paediatric speech pathology and developmental communication needs.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to keep developing your skills.
  • Relevant NSW checks and clearances to work with children.

Why consider this role?

  • A broader approach to communication: Support each child's individual needs, from speech and language to social communication and AAC.
  • Family-centred care: Help caregivers use practical strategies beyond therapy sessions.
  • Collaborative practice: Work alongside other allied health disciplines to support children's development.
  • Clinical development: Explore opportunities for mentoring, learning and strengthening your clinical skills.
